Fundamentals of nuclear physics, fission, nuclear radiation, transmutation of radioactive nuclides, neutron reaction cross-sections, reaction rates, one-and multi-group neutron energies and cross-sections, neutron reactions, neutron diffusion, Fick's law, neutron multiplication, four-factor formula, finite/infinite systems, criticality, nuclear energy, nuclear reactors, shielding, safety, reactor kinetics, fuel management.

**Å30Å: TECHNOLOGY OF THERMONUCLEAR PLASMA (7th semester)**

Basics of plasma, confinement in space, open and closed confinement systems, Debye shielding, ôù criteria, quantum mechanical aspects of temperature, thermal and non-thermal equilibrium, fusion, fusion reactors.

**Å08Å: INTRODUCTION TO NUCLEAR TECHNOLOGY (8th semester)**

**Å38Å: SPECIAL TOPICS OF PLASMA AND NUCLEAR TECHNOLOGY (8th semester)**

Conversion of solar energy to electric energy using plasma, magnetohydrodynamics, energy generators based on plasma, generation IV nuclear reactors, reactor safety, accidents in nuclear reactors, nuclear waste management and transmutation, nuclear safeguards.
